A New Church Can Be Intimidating...

We know because we've all been there. We've designed this page to help you prepare for your first visit to Community Church of Douglas, so you will know exactly what to expect. On a typical Sunday morning at Community Church, you'll find many different kinds of people on different parts of their faith journey.

Chances are, there will be other newcomers just like you. Whether you're new to the church and faith or a longtime Jesus follower, we have a place for you to experience life-changing love.

Our services start at 10a on Sundays and typically last about 60 minutes.

Typically, our services begin with about 15 minutes of music. The words of the songs are projected onto a large screen. Many people will sing along, and you can, too. Participate as you feel comfortable. We use music to express our love for God and thank Him for what He has done.

There will likely be a few times during the service when one of the leaders prays. You might be asked to sit or stand up during those prayers. We'll always ensure you know exactly what to do and won't leave you guessing.

One of our pastors will teach from the Bible. We aim to help everyone understand the Bible and apply it to their lives.

Afterward, people like to linger, drink some coffee, eat some delicious donuts, and build authentic community with each other.

Young Disciples

(birth through 4th grade)

At Community Church of Douglas, our children's ministry is much more than "childcare." We intentionally structure it to guide children to be lifelong friends of Jesus. We do this through developmentally appropriate discussion, Bible engagement, crafts, and more.

Our children's ministry meets during our morning service most Sundays of the year.

TREK Belay Groups

(5th and 6th grade)

TREK Belay groups are a place where 5th- and 6th-grade students can find the support and Christ-centered community they need as they start to transition from child to adult.

Here students will find life-giving community, engaging discussions about the Bible that apply to where they are at, and a space to ask tough questions that they have about following Jesus.

These groups meet during our morning service on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month.
